My Return

Do you feel like life has been challenging for a while—actually, for quite a long time? Or do you feel that the path you have been following is not leading to where you want to be? If your answer is yes, then I am pretty sure we have crossed paths along the same road. I am a stay-at-home mom, and for the last 20 years, I have been extremely busy with everyone else’s tasks, just like all moms. I am pretty sure there are many of you out there with the same issue—you’ve been putting everyone and everything else before you as a priority. There have been many times when you and I may have thought, “Something has to change.” But are we truly ready to do what it takes to make that change?

My number one priority in life is to be an independent person. I have a Master’s Degree, and I did have ambitious dreams—but since becoming a mother, I had forgotten about my dreams. I had given my family 110% of my time and energy, and after that, there was nothing left for myself.  My children had been my reward: their school, sports, and personal accomplishments…their love, kindness, and respect were all I needed. I was fulfilled.

However, over the last 5 years, I have been troubled by the desire to do more. The voice inside of me has been nagging me, saying, “You need to do more. There are other women out there who need to hear your story.” Since then, every New Year’s Eve, I have committed myself to a specific resolution. With the approach of the new year, I would quiet my mind, listen to my inner voice, and start working on my new idea. The ideas did not present themselves clearly, at first—or perhaps I was afraid to pursue them because I didn’t trust my skills. I realized that I had lost my confidence and self-esteem. Because I didn’t fully trust myself, the developing pattern was that, by March, my new resolution would fade off. Then a few months would go by, and the next year would arrive with the same “new” resolution. And that’s how the past five years have gone.

Finally, before Christmas of 2019, my world turned upside down. The motivation to get up off the floor and take action was spurred by one terrible, crushing moment. After countless tears and endless hours on my knees, I definitively decided to listen to my inner voice. First, I moved myself to the top of my priority list. Second, I started to pay complete attention to my own voice. My voice, my intuition, and my guides have 110% of my attention. I quickly learned that, if I ignore the voice, it will shut down. But I also learned that, when I ask and listen, the answers always come. Therefore, the first thing that I do every morning is to give my love to my own voice and my guides, by proclaiming that I am having the best day. “Good morning my friends/team/voice—today, I am having a heavenly day!”

I proclaim that in this year, it’s my return!

And I genuinely hope that it’s your return, too.

I would love to hear from all of you who wish to enter into and support this conversation. If you’re a woman who knows deep down that you need to move on or make a big change, but your circumstances are scary, or you’re not feeling confident enough to make the change, I welcome you. I welcome all women who were once rejected for not being talented enough, not pretty enough, not smart enough, not strong enough, not worthy of true love.

Let’s make this year, and every new year to come, full of “My Return!” moments, because we are meant to soar—to thrive, not just to survive. If you would like to hear more empowering stories, tips, and ideas, please subscribe to my Blog. You are not alone; we are on this path together.
